Principal Responsibilities:
Independently manage sourcing and procurement of chemicals for East, West, Central, and South Africa markets (for both local stock & distribution companies and third-party customers).

Regularly interact with existing global suppliers to obtain competitive offers for key chemical products.

Source major products including Ethanol, Caustic Soda, Polyol, Glycerine, SSA, and others relevant to the business portfolio.

Continuously identify and develop new cost-effective suppliers for current and potential chemical products.

Negotiate with vendors on quality improvements, delivery timelines, credit terms, and pricing.

Collaborate with Mumbai and African sales teams to address enquiries and provide competitive pricing and product offers.

Coordinate with the logistics team for execution of export orders, ensuring timely shipment and delivery.

Follow up with suppliers for timely shipments and documentation.

Monitor gross margins and profitability during order processing and ensure alignment with company targets.

Address and resolve any quality-related complaints with suppliers.

Create and maintain material master codes in SAP for newly sourced products.

Conduct regular cycle counts and full inventory audits.

Prevent stock discrepancies, damage, and spoilage, especially for perishable or temperature-sensitive beverages.

Liaise with transportation partners and internal logistics teams to streamline distribution.

Team Leadership & Development

Lead, train, and supervise warehouse staff, including forklift operators, pickers, and loaders.

Safety & Compliance

Enforce safety standards including the proper handling and storage of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse to meet hygiene standards.

Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies (e.g., FDA, OSHA, local beverage control boards).

Equipment & Facility Maintenance

Ensure proper use and maintenance of material handling equipment (MHE) like forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.

Report and coordinate repairs for damaged infrastructure or equipment.

Data & Reporting

Use Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to track shipments, inventory, and order fulfillment.

Generate reports on KPIs such as stock accuracy, order fulfillment rates, and warehouse productivity.

Cost Management

Optimize operational costs by minimizing waste, improving space utilization, and managing labor efficiency.

Participate in budgeting and cost control measures for warehouse operations.

Customer Service Support

Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to ensure timely and accurate order delivery.

Resolve any delivery issues, shortages, or quality complaints promptly.

Continuous Improvement

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
